A Healthtech’s Journey of Finding Product-Market Fit | Ekincare
Big data is everywhere, and smart entrepreneurs are already gathering all kinds of meaningful information about consumers to make their ventures more successful.
Today’s story is about how individual health data improves employee productivity and reduce healthcare spending.
Kiran Kalakuntla spent almost a decade in the US as a product manager with large telecom companies. He then came back to India with the itch to do something of his own, and identified healthcare as the area to build in.
This is where the journey of Ekincare begins.
In India, corporations spend over $7 billion on employee health and wellbeing in silos each year!
By collecting and analyzing health-related data for a large group of individuals, Ekincare helps optimize an organization’s healthcare spending.
Using AI and an employee's medical history to identify patterns, the startup helps an individual in taking preventative measures.
Today this startup serves over 500 MNCs and Indian companies!
Kiran shares the challenges of finding the right business model, of raising funds, and the insights he got along the way about how to solve healthcare challenges for India.
