Building India’s largest crypto exchange | Neeraj Khandelwal @ CoinDCX
If you’ve watched the Bollywood movie 12th Fail, you’ll likely relate to this episode's guest.
Neeraj Khandelwal is a small-town boy with a strong passion for serving his country. After graduating from IIT Bombay, he moved to Delhi to prepare for the civil services exam. When that plan didn’t work out, he redirected his determination towards new opportunities to achieve his goal.
Driven by curiosity and desire to make an impact, Neeraj quickly found success. He began thinking about the best way to contribute to India’s future.
The bold decision he made at this point is what sets him apart—he chose to invest in building India’s crypto infrastructure, believing that for India to become a global economic leader in the next 30-40 years, this would be essential. This vision led to the creation of CoinDCX, India’s largest crypto exchange.
While building CoinDCX, Neeraj focused on simplifying and scaling the platform's technology, onboarding 15 million users, and helping it become India’s first crypto unicorn.
In our conversation, Neeraj discusses how crypto will transform the world, and how CoinDCX is leading this change.
He explains the challenges of high transaction costs and slow speeds in the crypto space, and how they are addressing these issues. Neeraj also highlights the difference between blockchain assets and exchange assets and encourages future founders to focus on developing user-friendly apps and improving customer experiences through blockchain technology.
