Building the SUV of scooters | River

EV scooter maker Ola Electric has raised more than 1 billion dollars to date. Its close competitor Ather has raised more than 300 million dollars to date.

Competing against them is a company that had raised just 13 million dollars at the time of recording the podcast- River.

Bengaluru-based startup River is pioneering a scooter for entrepreneurs called River Indie, giving them utility and lifestyle benefits in a single machine.

While EV scooters generally adopt for sporty or retro styles, the River Indie has taken a different approach.

Dubbed as the 'SUV of scooters', the Indie is pushing the traditional scooter's capabilities beyond conventionality.

In this episode, Aravind Mani shares his approach towards building a startup frugally, and decodes their path to becoming a 100 million dollar business.
