Funding the next generation of tech giants | Climate Angels
The glaciers are melting because of global warming, but Climate-Tech companies are coolest ventures to invest in at the moment.
Shailesh Vickram Singh, a veteran investor and entrepreneur shifted his focus from tech investing to Climate - tech in 2017 and started Climate Angels, a fund that invests in start-ups that have dominant interests in solving the critical issues of sustainability and climate change.
Shailesh believes that the problems of climate and pollution are better solved with technology rather than policy and regulation.
Climate Angels started out as a small group with about 70-80 people and today has 250 odd members.
In this episode, Shailesh shares his journey of working at UTI, starting a recruitment -tech company when only a few SaaS companies existed to eventually moving towards venture capital and investments.
