How Maneet Gohil digitized the Indian textile eco-system & scaled a side-hustle to ₹200cr ARR (Lal10)
Make in India and take it to the world is what Maneet Gohil of Lal10 believes.
As a young boy, Maneet was passionate about how his grandfather’s small manufacturing unit functioned. He started Lal10, a startup that works with creative manufacturers and MSMEs to help them digitize their physical inventories and sell their handiwork in international markets, while in college as a side-hustle.
After his brief stint with Flipkart, Maneet along with his co-founders, decided to scale Lal10 in 2017 and today they have over 2200 MSMEs who have partnered with them.
This story of Maneet and his team is inspirational because they have recognized the pulse of Bharat’s creative manufacturing sector which is only second to the agriculture sector in the heartland and they are truly taking Indian products to the world.
He talks about:
How to scale a side-hustle successfully
How the ‘Jugaad’ culture works in the Indian creative manufacturing sector and how to use it to make a profitable ‘dhanda’
How to sell in dollars and spend in rupees
Lal10 today has an ARR of ₹200cr and Maneet and team have their heads and hearts set in terms of how they want to see their ‘dhanda’ grow.
