Making wealth do good | Rang De
This episode is about a couple who did things differently from Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.
Unlike business tycoons who first generate wealth and then engage in philanthropy, Smita and Ram chose the reverse route!
The couple started a non-profit initiative, Rang De to help rural artisans and farmers access affordable credit.
This initiative eventually evolved into Rang De, a corporation offering people the chance to invest in loans for those seeking to improve their livelihoods.
Rang De is now India’s first RBI-regulated social peer-to-peer lending platform providing a unique opportunity for individuals to make social investments.
Smita and Ram speaks about building and scaling Rang De.
