Have you ever come across the "India for the world" investing concept in the VC world? It's all about investing in Indian companies that are creating products for the global market, which means they spend money in rupees but earn it in dollars.
One of the pioneers of this thesis is a company called Mindtickle.
Mindtickle was founded in Pune in 2012 by a group of initially business-clueless engineers. But they kept at it and achieved product-market fit, successfully scaling it to become a unicorn in the US enterprise SaaS market.
From Pune to Unicorn status, Mindtickle's incredible journey is a must-listen. In the first part of a two-part conversation, Mohit Garg shares his experience in building Mindtickle and taking it to unicorn status.

But Mohit's entrepreneurial journey didn't stop there. In his next venture, he set his sights on solving the challenge of physical access in buildings.
The problem lies in the way we typically verify our identities to enter workplaces, which involves juggling multiple items like ID cards, badges, or fingerprint scans. This can be a hassle, making authorization a time-consuming task.
That's where Oloid comes into play. The name itself, short for "online link offline identity," suggests its goal.
Oloid is on a mission to replace conventional technologies such as pin-pads, badges, and fingerprint readers with a single sign-on solution for all physical access and authentication needs at the workplace.
They provide a software-based physical access technology, and companies can easily set it up themselves using a Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
