The Mom who built a new-age brand | The Moms Co.
This episode is an excellent explainer of why the D2C segment is NOT “old wine in a new bottle!”
A passionate mother at heart, Malika Sadani is a banker turned entrepreneur and Mohit Sadani transitioned from consulting to entrepreneurship. Malika’s encounter with a personal crisis motivated her to create The Moms Co., which has now risen to prominence as a leader in the Mom and baby care segment.
The Moms Co. is on a mission to equip the Indian community of mothers with safe, natural, toxin-free products for their babies. The startup is building what in Malika’s own words is “not another FMCG brand but a brand that mothers could trust!”
The startup has recently been acquired by The Good Glamm Group for what is said to be one of the largest D2C deals in this segment.
In this conversation, the husband-wife duo speaks about the genesis of The Moms Co, their journey, and the fundamentals of building a new-age brand.
